Award-Winning Courses

The courses at Tennessee Mountain Golf feature designers such as Jack Nicklaus, Joe Lee, Ron Garl, Bobby Greenwood, and Gary Roger Baird. These designers have taken advantage of the natural terrain and scenic beauty of the Cumberland Plateau. Their visions have produced multiple championship layouts throughout Fairfield Glade and Crossville that are as challenging as they are enjoyable.

Lake Tansi

Lake Tansi Golf Course, one of the top-rated courses in the state, hosts several Tennessee section PGA events. The course is not extremely long but it puts a premium on accuracy off the tee. The fairways are gently rolling and the greens have tiers and a great amount of undulating surface. Lake Tansi is a true test of golf for the average handicapper (from the front tees) as well as for the low handicapper (from the back tees).

Dorchester

Dorchester Golf Club is an 18-hole course, secluded in Fairfield Glade and featuring Bentgrass tees and greens. The tree lined fairways are narrow, requiring precision shot-making off the tees. Many water hazards and strategically placed bunkers provide a challenge for every level of golfer.

Bear Trace
The Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain is in the heart of Tennessee’s scenic Cumberland PlateauIt is one of the most sought-after sites among the five Jack Nicklaus designed Bear Trace courses in TennesseeThe 6,900-yard (gold tees), par 72 layout features a design that capitalizes on elevation changes, flowing brooks and clustered mature pines. The signature 7th hole, a 393-yard par 4, incorporates another of the region’s natural resources, layered flagstone, along the front of the green.

The Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain is named as one of the “Top Ten Courses in Tennessee”. This is by Golf Digest in 2001 and by Golf Magazine as “One of the Top Ten You Can Play” in North America in 1999.
Stonehenge
It features a world-class golf course, a beautifully appointed clubhouse, and excellent dining. Stonehenge is the perfect choice for a golf experience you will never forget! Architect Joe Lee has taken a pristine tract of land on the Cumberland Plateau. He created the masterpiece that is Stonehenge.

Stonehenge gets its name from walls of native stone found throughout the 6,549 yards, par 72 layouts. Natural rock outcroppings come into play on several holes. Also, a 15 foot layered stone retaining wall running along the left and rear of the signature downhill par 3, 14th hole. Bentgrass tees, greens, and fairways provide prime playing conditions.
Heatherhurst Crag.

The completion of nine additional holes in mid-2000 created a fun and challenging 18-hole course, called the Crag Course at Heatherhurst Golf Club. As with its sister, The Brae Course, it features Bentgrass tees and greens. Its well-maintained, wide fairways are great for the short hitters but some strategically placed bunkers create a demanding day on the links. Heatherhurst’s original three nine-hole courses were all given 4 stars from Golf Digest’s Places to Play.

Heatherhurst Brae

Heatherhurst Golf Club is both challenging and scenic. The 18-hole Brae Course is made up of the original Creek and Mountain 9-hole tracts. The front nine provides the most challenge. Including the number 4 hole, which features a double dogleg fairway. Some consider this hole as the toughest par 5 in Tennessee. The undulating fairways and encroaching bunkers guarantee a challenging and scenic round. Rated 4 stars by Golf Digest’s Places to Play.

Druid Hills

Druid Hills Golf Club is an is an immaculately maintained 18-hole course that delivers spectacular vistas. Located on the highest point in Fairfield Glade, as the name suggest, Druid Hills provides several scenic views of the surrounding mountains. With rolling, tree-lined fairways, plenty of water, several doglegs, and undulation bent grass greens, Druid Hills is a true test of golf.
